In September 1979 Parker in the UK launched a higher priced pen, the Parker "105". It sported a new style clip, It had an arrow but it did not use a washer as the clips on most other Parker models. Instead it was attached with two "ears" to the pen cap about 5 millimeters from the top.

The Parker "105" came in a few attractive metal finishes. The first was a rolled gold bark pattern and the pen body had a blank space left for personalisation. In May of 1980 a lower priced Flighter model in all steel was introduced. There are also examples of bark patterned pens in Sterllng Silver.

In 1981 a Limited Edition of 1 000 numbered pens were issued to commemorate the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. These pens have the number as an additional engraving.

Ball point pens were also offered. These were not cap actuated but utilised a detachable cap with a spring loadd arrow clip.

The Parker "105" was never a success, the design perhaps being too square and clumsy in appearance, and already in 1982 it was discontinued and replaced by the far more successful Premier line, which picked up the traditional sterling cicelé pattern of the Parker "75".

For obvious reasons the Parker "105" is quite rare and very collectable, the non-limited edition Gold bark model being the more common one.
